Predictions
Nov. 7th, 2006 01:08 amI think 64K should be enough for anybody! Oh, wait....
Texas 22nd: Nick Lampson can win, but it won't be easy. Write-in candidates have won Congressional seats before, and this is a heavily Republican district. If he wins, he'll be able to use his eight years of seniority, until they replace him with a rookie Republican two years from now. Too bad. He'll be good while it lasts.
Congress: I think Democrats will win control of the House, but the Senate is not likely. In any case, we'll still be able to finally put some oversight on Bush's mismanagement. On the negative side, the only advantage of having no power is that you can't get blamed when things go wrong. (Not that Republicans didn't try.) They'll call us obstructionists, and worse. It will be worth it to be able to put some brakes on the runaway train.
Ohio: Just...yay. It's about time.
Finally, I predict that in the next hour, delta and theta waves will conquer the monopoly of alpha waves in my brain. 'Night, all.
